2010 Danny Noonan Invitational

The 10th Annual Danny Noonan Invitational was the most unique event yet, with new wrinkles such as the Noonan "Tour Bus", a new golfing venue, and our first Noonan in Vegas!! The golf was great (for some) and the bus was event better.

The Noonan Cup came down to the last group on Saturday afternoon, but, In the end, the Cup was won by Team Scooty. Below are the results from the Noonan Cup. I want to thank our two Honorary Captains, Mark "Smitty" Smith and Scott "Scooty" Luinstra (pictured below). They did a great job leading their respective teams. The Noonan Cup went down to the wire again this year. Team Smitty had a 8 1/2 to 6 1/2 lead going into the final round, but Team Scooty made a huge comeback, capped by a two point sweep in the final match (Gerry Fricke & Mike Clem swept Ronny Maspero & Dan Steele). This final match sweep led Team Scooty to a 13-12 victory in the 10th Annual Noonan Cup.

The individual match results can be found below, along with the Team Net Score results for each day. It should be pointed out that CH Meili and Joe Fricke set a new Noonan Cup net scoring record with a 57 in Friday's round.
