2016 Danny Noonan Invitational

The 16th Annual Danny Noonan Invitational was played on May 13th-16th, 2016 in beautiful Mesquite, Nevada. This year's event proved to be a clash of Titans, with many of the Noonan faithful returning from last year's memorable event.

We transported ourselves from Vegas to Mesquite in the Noonan Tour bus, and played the championship courses we had grown accustomed to, including the world famous Wolf Creek Golf Club twice!!

The Noonan Cup was a tremendous battle between two teams, led by Captains CH Meili and Cal Reese. The Noonan Cup was dead even after the 1st day of play, but Cal's team pulled into a big lead after Day 2. Meili's Moneymakers tried to battle back on the last day. The overall team score was tied at 11 going into the final two matches on Sunday, where Reese's Rainmakers closed it out, sweeping the two matches and totaling a 15-11 team victory.

In a tremendous gesture of sportsmanship, CH presented the championship t-shirts he had preprinted for himself to Cal's team on the way back to Vegas on the Noonan tour bus (see photos in the Photo Gallery below).
