2022 Danny Noonan Invitational

The 22nd Annual Danny Noonan Invitational was contested from October 5th-9th, 2022. It was a crazy Noonan Cup this year. Captains Jim Fricke & CH Meili got their team off to a strong start, building a 10-5 lead with only 10 singles matches remaining on Saturday. However, the team of Neal Bailey & Steely Dan mounted an incredible comeback by winning 7.5 of a possible 10 points to close the event, bringing the tournament to a 12.5-12.5 tie!!

The teams agreed to play two hands of Blackjack and split the purse evenly if they won. Steely Dan represented the group at the table and pulled an 18. The dealer had an 8 showing, then showed a 13. She hit and got a 7, which basically tanked our plan. However, it was an exciting finish nonetheless!
